Advantages of bathBYus Acrylic Tubs and Showers
Acrylic is fast becoming the most popular material to utilize during the renovation process. Acrylic is the most durable bath surface available and is the easiest to maintain.
When you compare our acrylic (the thickest in the industry) against other products you will clearly see the advantages.
Acrylic Solves the Problems
bathBYus acrylic systems can be custom molded to fit over your existing tub and walls so you don’t have to tear up the bathroom. After manufacturing is complete this can be installed in your home in just one day. Installation of a tub and wall system is the fastest, least intrusive, and most reliable way to provide you with a new bathing area with minimal cost. Acrylic allows us to also custom manufacture for you a new replacement tub shower or wall system to fit any space. We can remove your old tub and replace it with a shower or vice versa without disturbing the surrounding floor and wall areas. These are a few factors that have contributed to the popularity with our customers. Let us show you how your bathroom can be remodeled quicker, at a much lower cost, without the mess.
Acrylic is Better than Ceramic Tile
Despite being the standard for generations, ceramic is becoming outdated due to the many advantages of acrylic. The porous surfaces of tile and grout encourages mold and mildew making it hard to keep clean. Grout deteriorates over time, breaking down, causing leakage that may cause damage to wall and floor surfaces in the subjected areas. Acrylic is non-porous so mold and mildew cannot grow on it. Due to the non-porous surface acrylic is easy to maintain, watertight, and stays clean.
Acrylic Defeats Marble and Granite
Marble and granite look luxurious and have a price that matches the look. Additionally, their beauty is fragile due to staining very easily and requires careful maintenance. Most often these surfaces also feature grout that deteriorates over time causing leaks and rot. Acrylic will not stain, chip, crack, or peel and requires the least amount of maintenance. Acrylic is also warranted for life. There is no comparison between the cost of marble or granite, and acrylic.
Acrylic vs. Fiberglass
Because fiberglass units are not custom manufactured, stock sizes do not fit all bathrooms. Fiberglass units have a short life span and tend to develop stress cracks. Again, mold and mildew can be problematic due to the porosity of fiberglass material. Acrylic also will not chip, is UV-stable preventing the color from fading, and will last indefinitely.
